Nicholas Cleobury - Principal Conductor


Nicholas Cleobury, Principal Conductor of the Oxford Bach Choir, has established a considerable reputation in the concert hall, opera house, and recording studio, as regular listeners to BBC Radio 3 or Classic FM will know. He has conducted most of the leading orchestras in the UK and is Founder and Conductor Laureate of the Britten Sinfonia.
Nicholas has conducted in Australia, the USA and Canada and throughout Europe, and works with leading choirs and opera companies, including English and Welsh National Opera, Opera North, Glyndebourne, and Zurich Opera. He is a champion of new music, and has given nearly 100 premieres. His commercial recordings and those for the BBC include work with the City of London Sinfonia, the English Chamber Orchestra, the RPO, the LSO, the London Mozart Players, and the Britten Sinfonia.
